On November 2, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the Turkmen athletes who have won prizes at international tournaments in 2024, Turkmenistan: Golden Age eNewspaper reported.
«I sincerely congratulate you on your successful performance and prizes at the major international tournaments in 2024, the theme of which is «The Fount of Wisdom of Magtymguly Fraghi»! Thanks to the grandiose undertakings of the Hero-Arkadag, the authority of our country in the world sports arena has risen to a new high level. «The protection of public health, promotion of a healthy lifestyle in society, integral development of youth, popularisation of physical activity, big sports and the Olympic movement, as well as expansion of international partnerships in sports are the state policy priorities,» Berdimuhamedov noted.
The President noted that Turkmenistan enhances cooperation in sports with over 60 countries and makes constructive proposals at international venues.
«Our young people, who have devoted their fate to sports, successfully perform at tournaments not only at the national level, but also at the regional and international level, raising the sports authority of the Motherland, setting a brilliant example of patriotism, fortitude and high skill,» the President said.
