Tajikistan’s TCell and UNICEF strengthen cooperation

Cooperation will cover two areas: the introduction of the Bebbo application and the creation of employment opportunities for young people.

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the private company TCell signed the first Memorandum of Cooperation in the history of Tajikistan. This cooperation is aimed at supporting young people and promoting digital technologies in the country, the UNICEF’s press office reported.

UNICEF Representative in Tajikistan Arthur van Diesen outlined two key areas of joint work. The first area focuses on expanding access to the Bebbo application that offers comprehensive guidance for parents in the Tajik and Russian languages. This initiative is of particular importance for families from remote regions of the country.

The second area focuses on developing the professional skills of young people through access to information and communication technology (ICT) courses with follow-up assistance in employment.

TCell is involved in the project on a non-commercial basis as part of its social responsibility strategy and support for the younger generation. It undertakes to provide a stable Internet connection for training courses.
