President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev held a meeting with Astana Akim Zhenis Kassymbek, who reported on the socio-economic and infrastructural development of the capital city, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported.
«Positive dynamics on all key economic indicators are observed,» Zhenis Kassymbek is quoted as saying.
In the first 9 months of the year, investment reached 1.14 trillion tenge, which is 16% more than in 2023, he said.
The important issues under discussion included heat supply to the city thanks to the launch of the new gas heating plants, which ensured surplus heat. It is planned to complete the construction of additional heat supply facilities in the coming months.
The interlocutors discussed the construction of social facilities and urban improvement, including the completion of long-term construction projects and street repairs. The President gave instructions on infrastructure modernisation and further development of Astana.
