President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský during his visit to Astana, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported.
The interlocutors discussed bilateral relations based on friendship and mutual respect. Tokayev expressed belief that Lipavský’s visit will give new impetus to cooperation. The Republic is ready to further support Czech investors and spur trade and investment ties.
«Kazakhstan is committed to close cooperation with the Czech Republic that it views as one of the important partners in the European Union,» Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev is quoted as saying.
The talks focused on industry, green transition and energy that Lipavský called key areas of interaction. The interlocutors discussed current issues on the regional and international agenda.
In conclusion, the President of Kazakhstan expressed his best wishes to his Czech counterpart Petr Pavel.
