President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev and President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan held talks to discuss deepening Kazakhstan-Armenia cooperation, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported.
«I am confident that today’s agreements will contribute to strengthening bilateral relations. We attach great importance to our regular high-level meetings, which lay a solid foundation for Kazakhstan-Armenia partnerships,» Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev emphasised.
The President of Kazakhstan noted the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the countries and the presence of a solid institutional base for further development.
The interlocutors discussed the prospects for cooperation in the trade, economic, transport and logistics, agricultural, cultural and humanitarian sectors, as well as digital transformation. The key issues under discussion included regional and international challenges that need to be addressed jointly. The programme of the cultural events, including the Days of Culture of Armenia in Kazakhstan and the Decade of Culture of Kazakhstan in Armenia, was announced.
