Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov took part in the Kyrgyzstan-Germany Business Council in Munich. Speaking at the event, he emphasised that Germany’s expertise in agriculture can play a significant role in unlocking the potential of Kyrgyzstan, the press office of the Government of the Republic reported.
In his speech, Zhaparov underscored the need to apply modern technologies and methods to boost Kyrgyzstan’s agricultural sector. He said Germany is a reliable partner whose achievements and expertise in agronomy, agricultural processing and sustainable agriculture can be very useful for Kyrgyzstan.
The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that GSP+ opens up new export opportunities for Kyrgyz agricultural products in the European Union countries. Zhaparov said Kyrgyzstan is ready to develop joint projects that will help increase agricultural output and improve product quality.
He stated that Bishkek is seeking to strengthen ties with German partners and launch joint projects in natural resources exploration and processing. The representatives of the business communities of the two countries confirmed that Kyrgyz manufacturers can offer high-quality products, and German companies — advanced technologies and expert support.
