On September 30, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an online working meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tangryguly Atahallyyev and the heads of regional administrations. The President heard the reports on ongoing work in the agro-industrial sector, and the progress of the implementation of the National Rural Development Programme and the seasonal agricultural campaigns, Turkmenistan: Golden Age eNewspaper reported.
Atahallyyev reported on the progress of the cotton campaign and the measures taken to ensure the efficient operation of agricultural machinery and uninterruptedly deliver crops to the ginneries. The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers informed about preparations for the rice harvest campaign in Dashoguz and Lebap Regions and the care for sugar beet fields in Mary Region.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the government officials to ensure compliance of ongoing agricultural activities with the agricultural technology requirements. The President emphasised the importance of harvesting cotton without losses and sowing wheat in a timely manner.
