On September 19, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed a Welcome Message to the participants of the annual Exhibition of Economic Achievements of Turkmenistan. The event marks the anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan, Turkmenistan: Golden Age eNewspaper reported.
“Today, Turkmenistan is known as a rapidly developing state using advanced technologies and innovations and undertaking large-scale endeavours for a happy life of citizens, in the interests of regional and global progress. Our initiatives find great support in the international arena, raising the authority of the neutral Motherland worldwide,” the President emphasised.
Berdimuhamedov noted that the main goal of the state policy is to ensure sustainable development of the sectors of the national economy and improve the well-being of the people. Turkmenistan is taking consistent measures to implement long-term programmes, build a more diverse economy and efficiently use natural resources.
“We can state with confidence that every day and month on the path of sovereign development is marked by truly grandiose events. This is fully demonstrated by the successful implementation of the large-scale state programmes on industrialisation, agricultural reform, enhancement of the export potential and technological modernisation of the economy of our country, as well as major international projects. Our Fatherland ranks among the space powers; we are building new villages and cities. All this is the fruit of our targeted efforts to improve the standard of living and well-being of the people,” Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.
