President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on the issues in Turkmenistan’s agro-industrial sector. The President reviewed the progress of seasonal agricultural works, the IIC portal reported.
Berdimuhamedov emphasised the important role of the agro-industrial sector in fostering economic development. In this regard, he highlighted the need to ensure compliance of ongoing agricultural works with the schedule and agricultural technology regulations.
Dwelling on the upcoming cotton campaign, the President ordered receiving points, combine harvesters and vehicles that will be involved in the campaign get ready. The President placed special emphasis on the wheat sowing campaign, instructing the relevant officials to ensure compliance with the schedule.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the relevant officials to strictly monitor the progress in the construction of social and industrial facilities envisaged in the National Rural Development Programme. In this context, he emphasised the importance of the quality and timeliness of construction work.
