Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Tamara Duisenova said the Government will consider the proposal from the members of the Amanat Party on the return to the previous time zone.
According to Tengrinews.kz, speaking at the briefing in the Government, she said it will take time to assess the impact of the current time zone on people’s lives. Duisenova noted that experts and specialists have been working on the transition to the new time zone over the past years, and this issue was discussed throughout the last year.
“However, in general, a year has not passed since we changed the time zone. We need, perhaps, to discuss in general what consequences this transition has,” Tamara Duisenova said.
She added that no significant changes in health care and electricity consumption after the time zone changed have been recorded. She emphasised that the parliamentarians’ proposals will be considered taking into account the arguments and submitted to the relevant government agencies for further consideration.
