On September 9, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a message of congratulations on Independence Day to his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon. The President highly evaluated the achievements gained by the brotherly country for 33 years, Turkmenistan: Golden Age eNewspaper reported.
Berdimuhamedov noted that Tajikistan has made great progress in strengthening its statehood, improving the well-being of the people and enhancing its authority in the international arena. Ashgabat attaches great importance to strengthening friendly relations with Dushanbe, based on good neighbourly relations, equality and mutual respect.
The President of Turkmenistan emphasised that Turkmenistan is seeking to promote and deepen bilateral cooperation. Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished Emomali Rahmon good health, family well-being, happiness and every success in all endeavours and aspirations for the benefit of the people of the country.
