On July 31, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan Begench Durdyev and Deputy Director-General for Northeast Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea Kang Young-shin held a meeting in Seoul, the press office of the Turkmen diplomatic mission in Seoul reported.
The parties discussed the current level and prospects of cooperation between the two countries in various areas. The interlocutors paid special attention to the schedule of upcoming joint events.
Turkmenistan established diplomatic relations with South Korea in February 1992.
In June 2024, President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeol paid the two-day state visit to Ashgabat and held talks with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The parties discussed a wide range of aspects of interstate cooperation and actualise the priorities in line with modern realities and for a long-term perspective.
