Italy helps Tajikistan develop new road safety strategy

The service cost is about $480,000, and the term of performance is 12 months from the date on which the parties sign the contract.

On July 31, Minister of Transport of Tajikistan Azim Ibrohim and Managing Director of Italian FRED Engineering S.R.L. Francisco Reina met in Dushanbe to sign an agreement on consultancy services for road safety capacity building, the press office of the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan reported.

The Italian experts will be tasked to assist the Republic in developing and implementing the National Road Safety Strategy of Tajikistan and Action Plan for 2024-2034.

The new strategy is part of the UN Global Plan for the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2020-2030.

Azim Ibrokhim noted that the Republic sets high requirements for the quality of consultancy services, and the company should strictly adhere to the deadlines. Experts who have an in-depth understanding of the national laws will be involved in the project.
