On July 19, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Tangryguly Atahallyyev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural activities throughout the country at the government meeting, Turkmenistan: Golden Age eNewspaper reports.
Wheat is being transported from receiving points to granaries and elevators in the velayats, the fields were freed up and mowed and are being ploughed, and high-quality seed material is being stored.
The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers reported on the measures taken to grow and supply potatoes, vegetables, melons and gourds to the population and the preparations for the autumn sowing campaign.
Commenting on the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised the importance of further developing the domestic agricultural sector.
The President instructed that the necessary measures be taken to lay the groundwork for next year’s harvest, prepare arable lands for the sowing campaign and keep strict control over the provision of high-quality wheat seeds.
