Tajikistan-Russia trade rises by 14.1% in 6 months

Russia was the Republic’s biggest trading partner in the first half of 2024.

Tajikistan-Russia trade value hits record high in the first half of 2024. According to the Agency for Statistics of Tajikistan, it increased by 14,1% compared to a year ago, reaching $968.5 million, Sputnik reported.

Russia’s imports to Tajikistan stood at $909.9 million, while exports stood at $58.6 million.

Russia is Tajikistan’s biggest trading partner, representing 26,6% of overall imports into the Republic. Tajikistan exports agricultural products to Russia, including fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, dried apricots and raisins.

China is Tajikistan’s second biggest trading partner, with trade value increasing by 24,6% to $877.5 million in a year. Kazakhstan ranks third with trade value of $668.9 million. Tajikistan-Kazakhstan trade increased by 19,5% compared to a year ago.
