On July 11, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Turkey Mekan Ishangulyev met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Yasin Ekrem Serim, the IIC information portal reported.
The interlocutors exchanged views on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the political and diplomatic areas and at the level of the foreign ministries. The diplomat and the Deputy Minister discussed a plan of bilateral consultations on consular issues and further extension of the legal and regulatory framework between the two states.
The agenda covered the upcoming bilateral events marking the 300th birth anniversary of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fraghi.
The interlocutors specified priority areas of bilateral partnerships and emphasised mutual interest in building up political, trade and economic ties.
