On July 6, Shusha hosted a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), which took place before the Informal OTS Summit, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reports.
The participants discussed improving the work of the Organization and current international issues. They paid particular attention to expanding cooperation in transport, logistics and communications and combating climate change.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu presented a report on Kazakhstan’s Chairmanship in the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in 2023-2024, the motto of which is TURKTIME!
«He also presented our country’s vision of the further development of the Organization and the enhancement of its authority on the world arena,» the press office added.
The Organization of Turkic States was founded at the initiative of Kazakhstan in Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan in 2009. The OTS General Secretariat is located in Istanbul, Turkey. It unites Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
