The Turkmen delegation led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Akhmed Gurbanov took part in the 3rd UN Meeting of Special Envoys on Afghanistan. The event took place in Doha from June 30 to July 1, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported.
Gurbanov emphasised that adhering to the principles of good neighbourliness and humanism, Turkmenistan takes consistent actions to provide comprehensive assistance to the Afghan people. The diplomat said the exhibition of goods and services of Afghanistan and the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan business forum, which were held in Ashgabat this year, as well as a visit of Turkmen entrepreneurs to Herat contributed to expanding bilateral trade relations.
Akhmed Gurbanov said Turkmenistan combats illicit drug trafficking and responds to other modern challenges in compliance with its international obligations and in close cooperation with international organisations.
