On June 25, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a message to the participants of the opening ceremony of the Dokmachylar cultural centre of the Ministry of Textile Industry. The President wished them good health, well-being and new achievements in the development of national culture and art, Turkmenistan: Golden Age eNewspaper reported.
«For many years now, the Dokmachylar folk and ethnographic ensemble has been performing bright dances with elements of the ancient wonderful traditions of the Turkmen people, including abroad, thus making a significant contribution to the popularisation of our heritage. The buoyant performances of young dancers accompanied by the unique enchanting sounds of national musical instruments fascinate esthetes,» Berdimuhamedov noted.
The President emphasised that the new cultural centre offers the ensemble the most favourable conditions for creative activities. The dance halls are stuffed with state-of-the-art equipment and meet international standards. The President said this will provide enormous opportunities for more constructive and fruitful activities of art workers.
«Culture and art play a significant role in maintaining, preserving and popularising worldwide the national intangible values, as well as in bringing up the younger generation. Culture is in essence a huge force that can boost intellectual potential and labour enthusiasm and inspire great achievements,» Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.
