President of Turkmenistan holds meeting of State Security Council

The heads of law enforcement agencies reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the work done for 5 months of the year.

On June 6, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting of the State Security Council on the work done by the military and law enforcement agencies in January-May, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reported. 

The heads of law enforcement agencies reported to the President on the issues related to defence capability, national security, state border protection, public order, judiciary, customs, migration and justice. They informed the President about the measures taken to prevent crime, monitor fire safety compliance and provide legal assistance to citizens.

Berdimuhamedov ordered the legal acts aimed at fostering the social and economic development of the country comply with international law. The President highlighted the need to further modernize the material and technical base, improve professional skills of military personnel and create the necessary conditions for their effective service and decent life.

The President emphasised that measures are being taken in accordance with the Military Doctrine to ensure the integrity and military security of the independent neutral Fatherland. Tremendous importance is attached to boosting defence capability and improving the social and living conditions of the defenders of the Fatherland and members of their families. In this regard, Serdar Berdimuhamedov said this work will continue.
