On June 5, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev visited the National Coordination Centre of Emergency Medicine.
According to the press office of the Kazakh leader, the President evaluated the work of the Centre that coordinates the activities of the medical aviation, ambulance and emergency units.
«The President said the opening of such a unique facility is a great achievement of domestic medicine,» the press office cited one of the topics of Tokayev’s conversation with the staff of the institution.
The President highlighted the importance of attracting highly qualified specialists to work at the Centre.
The Centre houses the 250-bed hospital. It is planned to open 9 clinical departments covering 29 medical specialties. Chairman of the Board Timur Muratov said the Centre is designed to serve over 18,000 patients annually.
Before leaving the Centre, the President expressed gratitude to the staff and donated an ambulance. He wished the medical staff every success in their work.
