On June 4, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev took part in the State Flag raising ceremony in Astana, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reports.
The leader of the Republic congratulated those present on the Day of State Symbols, emphasising the important role of this holiday in strengthening national identity and statehood. The President said it is the sacred duty of every citizen to respect the State Flag.
Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan is a peace-loving state that prioritises cohesion and unity and maintains friendly relations with all countries of the world. The President said the turquoise flag of Kazakhstan symbolises unity and solidarity. Kazakhstan adheres to the principles of friendship and mutual respect, striving to build a fair society where every citizen has equal opportunities.
He noted that the State Flag of Kazakhstan is often raised in international sports arenas in honour of Kazakh athletes.
