Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Amin Zavkizoda met with Minister for Board of Investment, Privatization and Communication of Pakistan Abdul Aleem Khan. The agenda focused on the need to increase trade between Tajikistan and Pakistan, the press office of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan reported.
Amin Zavkizoda noted the positive dynamics of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
The emphasis was placed on investment prospects in various sectors, including the textile, energy and mining industries.
The Minister emphasised that the Government of Tajikistan is seeking to invite Pakistani companies to work in the Republic and set up joint ventures. The Minister of Pakistan showed an interest in the use of transit routes across Tajikistan to access Central Asian markets.
