Kazakhstan presents investment opportunities to Japanese businesses

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan took part in a roundtable meeting in Tokyo.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Nazira Nurbayeva participated in a roundtable meeting with the top managers of Japanese corporations during an official visit to Japan. According to the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, Kazakhstan’s investment proposals were presented to Japanese partners at the meeting.

In her speech, Nazira Nurbayeva presented new tools to support investors to the Japanese business delegation and invited Japanese businesses to expand their investment activities in Kazakhstan. 

She said about 60 joint projects are being implemented. Furthermore, Japan has invested over $7.8 billion since 2005.

The Deputy Minister emphasised that the main areas of further cooperation are the mechanical engineering, mining, chemical and agro-industrial sectors.
