The Centre of Russian Language and Culture opened at the branch of the National University of Science and Technology MISiS in Dushanbe. RF Ambassador to Tajikistan Semyon Grigoriev, MISiS Rector Alevtina Chernikova and Acting Representative of Rossotrudnichestvo in Tajikistan Tatyana Mudrova attended the opening ceremony, the press office of Rossotrudnichestvo reported.
In his speech, Grigoriev noted the growing interest in the Russian language and culture in Tajikistan. He emphasised that the admission programmes for Tajik students remain an important area of cooperation between the two countries and develop steadily. The Ambassador expressed belief that the new Centre will become a valuable cultural and educational resource for the youth of the Republic.
The Ambassador said RF Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin highly evaluates cooperation in education between the two countries.
MISiS and the Committee on Primary and Secondary Vocational Education under the Government of Tajikistan signed a cooperation agreement during the opening ceremony.
