President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev met with Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmus. According to the press office of Akorda, the interlocutors focused on strengthening strategic partnerships between Kazakhstan and Turkey.
Noting the importance of parliamentary diplomacy, the President of Kazakhstan emphasised that the visit of the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey is of symbolic significance in the context of the 30th anniversary of the Agreement of Friendship and Cooperation. He noted positive development of trade and investment relations between the two countries and expressed belief that bilateral trade will reach $10 billion.
Numan Kurtulmus expressed gratitude for the hospitality and expressed belief that Turkey and Kazakhstan will continue to enhance cooperation in various fields, including trade, technology, industry, logistics, energy and agriculture.
The interlocutors discussed deepening cooperation between Member States of the Organization of Turkic States and within international organisation.
