President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated citizens of the country on the Constitution and State Flag Day. The President emphasised that this remarkable date embodies the national unity and integrity and reflects the national idea of a democratic, jural and secular state and a fair civil society, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reported.
“The Constitution is a strong foundation for our achievements, prosperity and sovereignty. The individual is the supreme value of society and the state, the constitutional principle says, which underlies of our policy and motto “The state is for a man!” and “The Motherland is the Motherland only with the people! The state is a state only with the people!” This principle is the source of our strength in advancing the independent Fatherland along the path of progress and prosperity, unshakable unity and cohesion,” the President said.
Berdimuhamedov noted that the State Flag is an invaluable treasure that embodies our independence and neutrality, the great past, the happy present and the bright future, honour and dignity. The green banner glorifies worldwide the Fatherland and the valiant Turkmen people.
“I firmly believe that the festive events of the year “The Fount of the Wisdom of Magtymguly Fraghi”, rich with celebrations, will engender a great sense of pride in the people of Turkmenistan, who are following the path of progress with great faith in a bright future in the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state”, the President emphasised.
