President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a working meeting with Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva. The Uzbek leader noted that the parties are actively cooperating, and over 70 IMF missions visited the Republic last year, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
The interlocutors discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation, including reforms to strengthen macroeconomic stability and sustainability of fiscal and monetary policies.
IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva expressed her support for the irreversible reforms taking place in Uzbekistan. She discussed with the President of Uzbekistan the development of the global economy and the position of the Republic in these processes.
