Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting on the construction of production facilities in the smart city Arkadag. During the event, attention was paid to opportunities in the field of production of medicines and medical products, as reported by the state news agency «Turkmenistan today».
Berdimuhamedov was informed that the delegation of the country visited the European states, Turkey, China. They studied foreign experience in the construction of healthcare facilities. It was noted that the Central Asian state has sufficient reserves of raw materials and water resources to establish the production. Syringes can be made of domestic polypropylene and polyethylene.
The Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty noted that Arkadag has a special climate. On the territory of the city there are springs with clear water, which can be used to make solutions. He pointed out the expediency of studying the medicinal properties of local herbs and announcing international tenders for the production of medicines and medical products.
Berdimuhamedov also stressed the importance of buying new equipment for medical institutions in Arkadag and expanding cooperation with the World Health Organization.
