Turkmenistan and Japan review details of joint projects

The issue was discussed by the heads of the committees for economic cooperation between the states.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the Turkmen-Japanese Committee for Economic Cooperation Rashid Meredov met with the head of the Japanese-Turkmen Committee for Economic Cooperation Hiroyuki Tsubai. The parties reviewed details of the implementation of joint projects. It was reported to CentralAsia.news by the press office of the Turkmen department.

Attention was paid to the projects that were included in the minutes of the fourteenth meeting of the corresponding committees in December last year. During the event, a large number of documents were signed.

The emphasis was also placed on the points of the roadmap of interstate cooperation in infrastructure. Meredov and Tsubai underlined the importance of adding new ideas to the relations between the countries. They also agreed to actively monitor the implementation of the tasks and agreements.

In addition, the officials stressed the importance of the trip of the head of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Japan in September last year in the context of expanding cooperation between Ashgabat and Tokyo.
