A delegation of the Islamic Development Bank, headed by Head of IsDB Regional Hub for Central Asia Ibrahim Shoukry arrived in Dushanbe. The IsDB delegation was received by Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Zavki Zavkizoda. The parties discussed a new cooperation strategy, the press office of the Ministry reported to CentralAsia.news.
The new cooperation strategy of Tajikistan and the Islamic Development Bank is designed for 3 years. It envisages strengthening bilateral ties and implementing projects of particular importance for Tajikistan. The priorities of Tajikistan-IDB partnerships include energy, industry, transport, digitalization and private sector.
Zavkizoda noted the high level of interaction between the Republic and the IsDB, emphasising that it became possible thanks to the wisdom of President Emomali Rahmon.
As was reported, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan met with Vice President of the Islamic Development Bank Mansur Muhtar in early May. The Minister presented promising economic projects in Tajikistan to the Vice President for consideration.
