On March 21, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov and First Lady Aygul Japarova took part in the Nowruz celebration on the Ala-Too Central Square in the capital city. The President delivered a congratulatory speech, in which he extended his best wishes to all the people of Kyrgyzstan on this bright holiday, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.
«Novruz has been a holiday of friendship and unity from time immemorial. Many nations are looking forward to it, and therefore this day is also called the „great day of the nation“. I wish creativity, every success and all the best for the Novruz Holiday to all citizens of Kyrgyzstan and compatriots who are far away from the homeland,» the President said.
Japarov noted that last year, the Kyrgyz people celebrated this spring holiday in fertile Batken and wished the growth to the region, from where the borders of the Motherland extend. «Today, the state is taking consistent efforts to solve the social problems of the border populations,» the President said.
Together with his spouse, Sadyr Japarov visited a small yurt town on the central square of the capital city and an exhibition of the works of domestic craftsmen from seven regions of the Republic and tried a festive dish sumolok.
