Foreign ministries of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan hold new round of political consultations

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for promoting cooperation, as well as preparations for the upcoming events.

On March 16, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yermukhambet Konuspayev and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov chaired a new round of bilateral political consultations. The parties reviewed the current state and prospects for expanding bilateral relations, as well as preparations for upcoming high- and top-level events, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reported to CentralAsia.news.

The parties focused on the implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to Azerbaijan last August.

The participants noted the positive dynamics and successful development of bilateral mutually beneficial partnerships. They also confirmed their intention to further cooperate closely at the level of the foreign ministries of the two countries to boost strategic relations in all areas of mutual interest.
