Construction of Andarkhon hub on Tajik-Uzbek border launched

The trade and logistics centre will house 200 trade outlets, a bank, a canteen, a cafe, a hotel and a logistics centre.

On March 13, Head of Sughd Region of Tajikistan Rajabboy Ahmadzoda visited Fergana Region of Uzbekistan to attend the ground-breaking ceremony of the Andarkhon trade and logistics centre on the Tajik-Uzbek border. The centre will occupy an area of 5 hectares and house 200 trade outlets, a bank, a canteen, a cafe, a hotel and a logistics centre, the press office of the Sughd Region Head reported to CentralAsia.news.

In their opening remarks, the heads of Sughd Region and Fergana Region noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of economic and friendly relations, emphasising that this is the fruit of the policy of the leaders of the two countries.

They congratulated the peoples of the two countries on the upcoming International Nowruz Day. The parties expressed belief that the opening of the Andarkhon trade and logistics centre that will sell goods made at the enterprises of the two regions will contribute to boosting trade in commodities and high-quality products.
