A delegation of Tajikistan arrived in Qatar to participate in the 5th UN Conference on Least Developed Countries. Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Zavki Zavkizoda and the local officials considered strengthening bilateral economic relations, the press office of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
Zavki Zavkizoda met with CEO of Qatar Investment Authority Mansoor Ebrahim Al-Mahmoud, Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar International Islamic Bank Sheikh Ali bin Abdullah Thani Al Thani, Chair of the Qatar Businessmen Association and the Board of Directors of Al Faisal Holding Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani and the heads of a number of ministries.
The parties discussed the prospects of cooperation between Tajikistan and Qatar in investing in the national projects of the Tajikistan and exporting Tajik goods to Qatar and the banking, energy, transport, industrial, agricultural and health sectors.
Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani noted that Tajikistan is a safe and stable country that has abundant natural resources and offers ample opportunities to investors.
