Cabinet of Ministers of Kazakhstan discusses measures to improve infrastructure of Shymkent

The participants of the government meeting reviewed the progress achieved towards the fulfilment of the instructions given by the Prime Minister during his working visit to Shymkent on January 27.

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held a regular government meeting to discuss the measures taken to fulfil his instructions given during his working trip to Shymkent on January 27, the press office of the Government reported to CentralAsia.news.

The participants reviewed the progress of construction works on water supply facilities in Sairam settlement and the Turan main sewerage collector along the Almaty highway and the improvement of transport infrastructure in Shymkent. It is planned to repair more than 11 kilometres of roads this year.

Over the next 2 years, it is planned to build several multi-storey apartment houses, including in the Bozaryk and Akzhayik microdistricts. Credit housing construction at a preferential rate through the Otbasy Bank line will continue — over 1,000 apartments will be built by the end of this year.

Particular attention was paid to gas supply to the Kaynarbulak residential complex, development of infrastructure in the Zhuldyz, Bozaryk and Tassay industrial zones, construction of deep oil refining facilities around the oil refinery, establishment of a trade and logistics centre as part of a southern regional hub and modernisation of the mechanism of allocating land plots to SECs to implement investment and other projects.
