Tajikistan and Moldova stand ready to build up mutually beneficial partnerships

The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries held political consultations.

The delegations of the foreign ministries of Tajikistan and Moldova took part in political consultations. The parties discussed a wide range of aspects of further cooperation between the Republics and expressed readiness to take all necessary measures to build up interstate contacts, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.

Particular attention was paid to partnerships in trade, economy, culture and the humanitarian sphere. The emphasis was placed on cooperation within international and regional organisations. The participants expressed readiness to give an additional impetus to interaction between the two countries.

Political consultations marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The event was held via videoconference.

The Tajik delegation was headed by Head of the Department of the CIS of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ahmad Saidmurodzoda. The Moldovan delegation was headed by Head of the Department of Bilateral Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Sergey Mikhov.
