Kyrgyz Prime Minister and Ambassador of China consider opening bus assembly centre

This issue was raised following the purchase of 1,500 buses for Bishkek.

Chairman of the Government of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov held talks with Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Du Dewen in Bishkek. They discussed the implementation of a number of projects, including the opening of a Chinese bus assembly centre in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, the press office of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan reported to CentralAsia.news.

Zhaparov said the Bishkek city administration had purchased 1,500 buses made in China. The interlocutors noted the expediency of opening a bus assembly and service centre in the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

These buses will be delivered to Bishkek by the end of the year. These vehicles have gas engines. These buses were purchased to reduce traffic congestion and air pollution in the city.

Akylbek Zhaparov and Du Dewen discussed the implementation of the construction project of the Bypass Chui Canal-2. The Chairman of the Government noted that the partners need to take measures to expedite the commencement of construction work.
