Representatives of Ashgabat and Bishkek discussed consular issues related to the creation of preferential conditions for cargo carriers. The online meeting was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan. The officials paid attention to the importance of effective regulation of the visa regime for truck drivers. The participants of the event also agreed that the countries have achieved good results in the framework of cooperation in transit cargo transportation.
The civil servants stressed that such meetings play an important role in strengthening partnerships in the field of transport.
Early in December last year, the Minister of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan Tilek Tekebaev paid a working visit to Ashgabat. He met with the director of the Agency for Transport and Communications of Turkmenistan Mammethan Chakyev. They noted the readiness to increase the number of cargo transportation.
