Turkmenistan and Belarus to expand business cooperation

The deputy heads of the MFAs spoke in favor of taking measures in the relevant direction.

In Ashgabat, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Berdiniyaz Myatiev met with his Belarusian counterpart Igor Nazaruk. They discussed partnership between states, paying attention to the importance of expanding business cooperation. It was reported to CentralAsia.news by the press office of the Turkmen department.

The parties spoke in favor of intensifying commercial contacts between the businessmen of the two countries. The emphasis was also placed on the issues of arrangement of the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.

The officials noted that Turkmenistan and Belarus have established fruitful cooperation at the level of the ministries of foreign affairs and the United Nations, as well as in trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, educational, scientific, sports and medical spheres.

At the end of September last year, Belarusian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Vyacheslav Beskosty met with Annageldi Yazmyradov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Central Asian country. They discussed issues of cooperation within the framework of mutual trade in agricultural products, as well as at the level of supplies of agricultural machinery to Turkmenistan.
