President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov was awarded the Order named after Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa of the first degree. The highest award of the Kingdom of Bahrain was presented to the leader of the Central Asian country for his personal contribution to the development of relations between Ashgabat and Manama, as reported by «Turkmenistan today».
The ceremony took place after official negotiations between the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Berdimuhamedov, who paid an official visit to the West Asian country.
The king stressed that the president of Turkmenistan played a great role in expanding cooperation and friendly ties between the states. Particular attention was paid to Berdimuhamedov’s effective policy, aimed at maintaining peace at the international and regional levels. Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa wished the leader of the Central Asian country new successes in his important work.
Berdimuhamedov, in turn, said that he considers the award as a symbol of Bahrain’s deep respect for Turkmenistan and its people.
