In Ashgabat, as part of the instruction of the Turkmen leader Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the head of the Mejlis Gulshat Mammedova met with the new Ambassador of the Dominican Republic Elvis Antonio Alam Lora. She told the diplomatic representative about the grandiose successes of Turkmenistan, as reported by «Turkmenistan today».
The ambassador presented his credentials to Mammedova. He conveyed greetings and best wishes of the President of the Dominican Republic Luis Abinader to Berdimuhamedov and all citizens of the Central Asian state.
The chairman of the Mejlis noted that over the years of sovereign development, Turkmenistan has achieved significant results in various areas, and earned respect of the international community. Particular attention was paid to the effectiveness of the reforms that were initiated by the president in the name of the well-being of local residents.
The officials discussed interstate partnership within big international organizations. Elvis Antonio Alam Lora assured the speaker that he will do his best to expand cooperation between the countries.
The ambassador also met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova. They stressed the importance of organizing bilateral visits and holding political consultations to strengthen relations between Ashgabat and Santo Domingo.
