Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation Gulnara-Klara Samat met with Minister of Culture of Russia Olga Lyubimova in Moscow to discuss the prospects of cultural cooperation between the two countries, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the possibility of conducting cultural exchange activities and implementing joint projects on the platform of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
At the suggestion of the Kyrgyz diplomat, the interlocutors agreed to hold joint thematic events at the cultural institutions in Russia to mark the 95th birth anniversary of the great Kyrgyz writer, classic of world literature Chinghiz Aitmatov.
The Minister of Culture expressed gratitude to the Kyrgyz side for extending the warm welcome to the Russian delegation that visited Bishkek in December 2022. She noted that the delegation of the Ministry of Culture visited the capital of Kyrgyzstan to take part in the closing ceremony of the Cross Year of Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
