Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan paid an official visit to Ashgabat. He met with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. They discussed promising investment projects of the Central Asian country, as reported by «Turkmenistan today».
They underlined that the state created a favorable investment climate for representatives of foreign business. New road, air and rail transport centers and corridors are built in the country.
Particular attention was paid to the possibilities of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, which has all the necessary resources to establish logistics chains with the ports of the UAE. The facility may be attractive for Emirati companies that specialize in port administration and logistics services, the officials noted.
The President of Turkmenistan and the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates also discussed the possibility of strengthening partnerships in creating mixed industries and modern infrastructure, the banking and financial sectors. Attention was also paid to relations in the cultural and humanitarian spheres, at the level of international organizations.
Within the framework of the visit of the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Abu Dhabi, a joint declaration of Turkmenistan and the UAE was adopted. The document says that the Emirati companies will take part in the development of the supergiant «Galkynysh» gas field on the territory of the Central Asian state.
