Smailov and CPC General Director discuss development of company’s pipeline network

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan was informed about the company’s production activities in 2022, current activities and plans for the future.

On February 16, Chairman of the Government of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov met with General Director of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium Nikolay Gorban to discuss the issues related to operational stability and development of the company.  The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan was informed about the company’s production activities in 2022, current activities and plans for the future, the press office of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan reported to CentralAsia.news.

“Last year, the company’s activities were restricted due to the damage to the offshore single point moorings at the Marine Terminal. The repair was completed, and all restrictions have been lifted. All possible measures need to be taken to prevent such situations in the future,” Smailov said.

The Prime Minister emphasised the importance of increasing the pipeline throughput capacity, which will allow transporting additional amounts of Kazakhstani oil.

Gorban reported that the company is doing everything possible to maintain operational stability and improve equipment reliability. He noted that the implementation of the DBN Programme allowed increasing the annual pipeline throughput capacity to 72.5 million tonnes of oil from Kazakhstan at the end of last year.
