The head of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the embassy of Turkey. He wrote a message in a condolence book, in which he expressed support for the people of the republic amid devastating earthquakes that took place in the state. It was reported by the news agency «Turkmenistan today».
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid a visit to the embassy within the instructions of the president of the Central Asian state Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The head of the highest representative body of people’s power spoke with Turkish Ambassador Togan Oral, as well as with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Mufti of the state.
Berdimuhamedov expressed condolences to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish nation, wishing them spiritual strength. The mufti of Turkmenistan prayed for the people who have passed away. The chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty stressed that Turkmenistan will support Turkey. Sadaqah will be given at the «Halk hakydasy» memorial complex in Ashgabat, he added.
Turkmenistan has sent doctors, medical workers, as well as a humanitarian cargo with medicines, medical supplies and textiles to Turkey. A hotline for citizens of Turkmenistan who are now in the southeastern part of the republic was launched.
