The authorities of Kyrgyzstan are set to create jobs for citizens of the Republic. For these purposes, a new state programme that will ensure a more effective implementation of the employment policy will be developed, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reported to CentralAsia.news.
This issue was discussed at the roundtable meeting chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov. He noted that a new approach envisages creating new industries and jobs for the younger generation and citizens who are now working abroad.
The Deputy Chairman emphasised that the new programme will use an improved methodology for collecting statistical data. The project is aimed at providing incentives for hiring and encouraging professional development of citizens of the country. Direct public investment will be used to implement the programme.
In 2022, the unemployment rate in Kyrgyzstan decreased by 5 percent, accounting for 142,600 people.
