Kazakhstan and Russia’s Gazprom sign roadmap for cooperation

The document provides for the possible supplies of Russian gas to Kazakhstan, as well as promising cooperation projects.

On January 18, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar held talks with Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom Alexey Miller during his working trip to St. Petersburg, the press office of the Prime Minister of the Republic reported to CentralAsia.news.

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia Yermek Kosherbayev, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Bolat Akchulakov and Chairman of the Management Board of National Company Qazaqgaz JSC Sanzhar Zharkeshov took part in discussing bilateral relations.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the prospects for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation, paying special attention to natural gas cooperation.

Following the talks, the parties signed a Roadmap that specifies the key areas of bilateral partnerships, in particular processing Kazakh gas at the Orenburg gas processing plant, the possible supplies of Russian gas to Kazakhstan and other promising cooperation projects.
