Kyrgyz authorities intend to put order to health sector in 2023

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers instructed the Ministry of Health to develop and present the clear standards of medical care.

On January 10, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov held a meeting on the improvement of the quality of medical services to discuss the tasks set for the health sector in 2023, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.

«When patients come to the hospital, they must receive timely qualified medical care. We must have the standards of work which are effective, clear and understandable for medical personnel. Sterile and well-equipped reception rooms that meet international standards should be built at hospitals throughout the country,» Japarov said.

The Prime Minister highlighted the need to make a leap forward in the development of the health and education sectors.

Following the meeting, specific instructions were given to the Ministry of Health. Japarov instructed to reorganise the healthcare institutions into hospitals and polyclinics, set up a round-the-clock hotline on the quality of medical care provided to the population and explore the options of leasing ambulances.
