Tokayev visits National Research Centre of Mother and Child Health

The President talked to the children and their parents who had arrived to undergo treatment from all the regions and inspected the conditions at the Centre.

On December 30, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev visited the National Research Centre of Mother and Child Health, where he visited the Smart Classroom. The Smart Classroom allows children to undergo treatment and study the school curriculum — mathematics, history and other school subjects. They also attend the therapy sessions with music, fairy tales, creative games and chess, the press office of Akorda reported to CentralAsia.news.

Tokayev talked to the children and their parents who had arrived to undergo treatment from all the regions. He noted that the Year of Children focused on the development of the younger generation in education, healthcare, sports and other areas, emphasising that these support measures will continue in the future.

The President was informed that 351 children were currently undergoing treatment in the children’s departments. This year, about 18,000 children have undergone treatment at the Centre. Over the past 3 years, more than 30 modern medical technologies have been introduced and successfully applied at the Centre, and its specialists improve their skills abroad every year.

Saying goodbye to the patients, Tokayev wished them a speedy recovery, congratulated everyone on the New Year and presented New Year’s gifts.
